A message to our LLM graduates
Dear LLM Graduate,
Even typing those first three words feels remarkable given everything we have been through in the last fourteen months. Gaining an LLM degree from Glasgow Law School is a triumph at any time, but doing this at a time when the World reeled from the Covid-19 pandemic is, simply, an amazing achievement. The academic year that you have gone through certainly did not end as you would have anticipated, save for the success in graduation. I hope that whatever else has been happening in your lives, and those of the people you love, you are able to find joy in this success.
From those of us on the LLM teaching team to all of you - Congratulations! We hope that you found your year at the University of Glasgow to be as rewarding as you had hoped it would be. We hope that the law and skills you have learned while with us will serve you well, and that the friendships you have made will be lifelong.
As the Covid-19 pandemic continues to run, the next period of your life may be challenging. Some of you will already be in new jobs, or continuing with education, and setting out on the path you have set yourself with success; for others, this period may not be quite as you had hoped. We wish you all the best in the next stage of your career - whatever route you decide to pursue. We are confident in your success, and hope that the work you have done over your year with us will help in that achievement.
The reward for your hard work and engagement is entirely yours; for us we have had the privilege of working with you and enjoying your company over the year. Well done, and thank you!
