The Marie Trust and GO Justice Community Legal Education Project

The Marie Trust and GO Justice Community Legal Education Project

The GO Justice Centre at the School of Law has an exciting volunteering opportunity in partnership with the Marie Trust, a homelessness charity based in Glasgow. You will be involved in designing and delivering a series of law workshops for the Marie Trust’s service users. Working as part of a community legal education programme, you will help to empower people affected by homelessness, poverty, and social exclusion to access education and use the law. This is an opportunity to actively contribute to the advancement of social justice in the community.

About the Marie Trust and the Education Service

The workshops will be delivered as part of the Marie Trust’s Education Service. The overall aim of the service is to widen access to education and support learners to exit homelessness as part of their employability, recovery, and rehabilitation pathway. The programme supports learners who are apprehensive about entering education or those who have additional support needs to undertake a course as a stepping stone into college programmes.
