LawWorks Student Pro Bono Awards - GO Justice nominations
The School of Law is delighted to share that the Glasgow Open Justice Centre (GO Justice) has been shortlisted for the LawWorks and Attorney General Student Pro Bono Awards. Supported by the Attorney General and sponsored by Lexis Nexis, the awards celebrate the best pro bono activities undertaken by law students and law schools and the positive impact on those assisted. A delegation of UofG Law staff and students will attend the awards ceremony taking place today at the House of Lords with the Attorney General, The Rt Hon. Lord Hermer KC.
GO Justice has been shortlisted for awards in two categories: the Emma Ritch Law Clinic has been nominated for the 'best new pro bono project' category and GO Justice has been shortlisted in the 'best contribution by a law school' category.
The nominations recognise the developments in pro bono provision and clinical legal education in the School of Law in recent years. The success and impact of the projects and clinics in GO Justice would not be possible without the hard work, energy and commitment of our student volunteers. We wish the team the very best of luck at today’s ceremony!
