Law Workshop - Community Library prize draw - deadline extended!
** Deadline extended to Friday 29th October **
The Glasgow University School of Law Workshop has been awarded £6,000 from the Scottish Library and Information Council (SLIC) to develop a community lending law library.
The project will allow potential students to visualise themselves as studying at the University of Glasgow and consider a future career in law.
These students will be invited to the law library to socialise and integrate with other individuals from all different backgrounds and ages, whilst using the library’s facilities and undertaking introductory legal skills sessions. The School of Law plans to create a lending library section for these groups, to support outreach activities.
We need your help in creating a community lending library that reflects the experiences and reality of our student community.
Write a short statement (maximum 500 words) or record a video (maximum 2 minutes in length) sharing your thoughts on either of the following topics:
· Did a specific book or article you read inspire you to study law?
· What book would you recommend potential law students read?
Up to ten winners will be chosen at random to receive a £20 Waterstone’s voucher. The competition is open to all University of Glasgow Law students.
Please email your entries to: law-workshop@glasgow.ac.uk
You have until Friday 29th October, 5pm, to enter.
